LE MANS STRIPES Mini coffee table
When joinery-meets-the-eye - This table features an exquisite house-designed joinery method where the fine hand-made detail of the structural dovetail joinery is made visible. The details require finest craftsmanship as every little defect during the creation of both the mortise and tenon would affect the outlook of this art piece.
Inspired by the LeMans Stripes, a.k.a Racing Stripes that was first used by the Cunningham team since 1951 to better identify racecars during races, the table top is constructed with delicate pieces of walnut and also a contrasting stripe made with white ash and African Padauk. The body is constructed with our house-designed visible dovetail joinery that shines with the contrasting oak and walnut combination.
The three-leg design is a distinguish balance between elegance and functionality providing adequate support to its daily uses.
